Controlar has recently joined Portugal AutoCluster for the Future (PAC). This is a mobilizing project that aims to develop, test and demonstrate a new generation of technologies – products and processes – identified as critical for a new positioning of the national automobile cluster in the global value chains of the vehicle of the future.
The goal is to leverage the competitiveness of Portuguese companies and their insertion (and reputation) in the international markets.
The critical technologies to be developed, prototyped, tested and demonstrated will focus on the following key areas:
- Vehicle Architectures of the Future
- Interiors of the future
- Structures and exteriors of the future
- Sensing and connectivity technologies
- Flexible and digital production technologies
Controlar is the leader of one of PAC’s parent projects that aims to study connectivity technologies and vehicle sensing, with the objective of reinforcing knowledge in test technologies for the automobile of the future.
In addition to Controlar, the consortium consists of Simoldes (leader), CCG, CEiiA, CeNTI, CITEVE, Critical Manufacturing, ERT Têxtil Portugal, INEGI, INESC TEC, Pedro Nunes Institute, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Welding and Quality Institute, Instituto Superior Técnico, Microplastics, Mobinov, Sakthi Portugal, Schmidt Light Metal, TMG, Toolpresse and University of Aveiro.
