Creativity is key not only for business success, but also for personal growth.
Last week, to celebrate the UN’s World Creativity and Innovation Day, held on April 21st, and to highlight our commitment to innovation, Controlar held a special internal event dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and tackling internal challenges.
Thinking Outside the Box: Design Thinking in Action
Led by our R&D+I team, the day focused on “Design Thinking”. This problem-solving approach emphasizes understanding user needs through brainstorming and prototyping.
Employees, divided into teams, worked with real Controlar challenges. Teams brainstormed solutions, identified the most promising ideas, and rapidly prototyped them for testing. This empowered participants to see the value of “unconventional” ideas and their potential to solve problems, both at work and in life.
Sparkling Solutions and Collaborative Spirit
The multidisciplinary teams tackled challenges like streamlining communication between departments, fostering connections between colleagues, and improving the integration of new employees. Several creative solutions emerged, including the creation of an internal podcast that shares employee stories and experiences, the development of a new software platform with information regarding all employees, facilitating communication and collaborative work, among others.
The day ended with a fun gathering filled with food, drinks, and music.
The Road Ahead
Creativity Day was a resounding success! The R&D+I team will evaluate the proposed solutions, and a plan will be developed to implement the most promising ones.
We generated innovative solutions, fostered teamwork, presented a tool that can be used in everyday work problems, and strengthened our commitment to a creative work environment.
