Overview
This Automated Equipment for PCB Assembly is an advanced solution that integrates two robots and inspection systems to ensure the precise placement of PCBs onto aluminum heatsinks in various shapes.
With an autonomy of over 3 hours, this system performs an operational cycle of less than 20 seconds, executing processes such as the collection and verification of PCBA positions, as well as the reading of traceability codes. Its robust design and ability to work with various models and morphologies make it the best solution on the market for the assembly and inspection of PCBAs.
Configuration
This is a sophisticated double-station system, featuring 2 robots, 2 inspection systems, a tray inventory for PCB assembly, capable of over 3 hours of autonomous operation. The key processes include:
- Collection of a PCBA from trays via a SCARA robot.
- Visual inspection (with vison camera) and position correction, with DataMatrix reading for traceability.
- Tray handling with DataMatrix reading for product tracking.
- Verification and adjustment of heatsink pin positions using 3D inspection to ensure proper assembly.
- Data upload to the customer’s MES for traceability and record-keeping
This station works with a cycle time of less than 20 seconds and is capable of working with different models and morphologies of both heatsinks and PCBAs, delivering high productivity and flexibility for various heatsink and PCB model configurations.
Main Applications
The automated equipment for PCB assembly is primarily used across industries such as electronics, industrial automation, home appliances, LED lighting, and telecommunications, where it efficiently assembles and verifies PCBs to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.
