Build reliable test contact around every product

Controlar develops and manufactures custom test fixtures and tooling for ICT, functional testing, flash programming and End-of-Line applications, from simple manual solutions to complex inline and offline systems.

Designed around each DUT and test strategy, our fixtures combine precision probing, flexible actuation and integrated test technologies to support reliable contact, repeatability and efficient production changeovers.

  • Manual, pneumatic and vacuum fixtures for inline and offline applications
  • Fine-pitch and double-sided probing, including complex high-probe-count configurations
  • Custom integration of programming, optical inspection, signal conditioning and additional test equipment
Controlar Fixture

From fixture design to a complete test solution

Every product requires a different contact strategy. Controlar combines mechanical design, probing, electronics and test integration to develop fixtures that match the product, test platform and production environment.

Solutions can incorporate ICT, Functional Test, Boundary Scan, ISP/Flash programming and LED testing, together with custom interfaces, switching, signal conditioning, loads and dedicated electronics. Fixtures can also be delivered as part of a complete turnkey test application, including setup and support during production ramp-up.

Integrated Test Technologies

ISP & Flash Programming
ISP and flash programming can be integrated directly into ICT, Functional Test or Boundary Scan applications, enabling programming at board or system level during manufacturing.
LED & Display Testing
When optical analysis goes beyond standard ICT capabilities, Controlar integrates FEASA equipment for LED and display inspection.
Dedicated Flash Stations
Inline or offline solutions can support gang programming using dedicated or universal programmers, including SMH FlashRunner technology.

Custom Fixture Adaptations

  • Lateral actuation using pneumatic cylinders or stepper motors
  • Mechanical interlock detection and connector pin contacting
  • Integration of TestJet, OpenCheck, FrameScan or custom sensors
  • Custom interfaces and mechanical parts for specific DUTs
  • Signal conditioning, stimulus generation and noise filtering
  • Dedicated PCBs, switching, protection circuits and specific loads

Fixture Validation & Probe Impact Analysis

Fixture quality depends on accurate probe positioning and consistent contact. Probe Impact Analysis verifies probe plate drilling and PCB contact before production release, with validation results documented as part of the fixture documentation.
