”The automotive industry is undergoing a profound and unprecedented transformation in the last 100 years. We live in an era where the convergence of engineering, technological innovation, and sustainability is shaping the future of mobility. More than ever, the ability to innovate, adapt, and lead this change will be crucial to ensuring Europe’s competitiveness and relevance in an increasingly competitive and volatile global market.
Only through effective cooperation between the public and private sectors, academia, and industry can we transform the potential of our engineering into tangible reality, capable of ensuring economic growth and sustainable development, in line with the objectives highlighted in the Mario Draghi report: The Future of European Competitiveness. We are confident that from this event, discussions, projects, and innovations will emerge that will significantly contribute to Portugal and Europe facing future challenges with a clear vision and a sustained approach of innovation and competitiveness.
