Last June, Controlar launched a new R&D project, IDEx MACHINA.
This project, funded under NORTE2030, is a co-promotional initiative with CCG – Computer Graphics Center, combining efforts to transform the future of industrial machine development.
The main goal of this project is to create a comprehensive and integrated platform that will enable the design, programming, simulation, and validation of industrial machines even before their physical construction.
The IDEx MACHINA platform will revolutionize the industrial machine development process, delivering significant gains in efficiency, cost reduction, and accelerated innovation.
To achieve these goals, the consortium will develop and integrate cutting-edge technologies, including:
- Extended Reality (XR) for immersive experiences in design and programming,
- Motion control simulation based on PLC logic,
- 3D modeling to create accurate digital representations of the developed systems,
- Data analysis for continuous optimization of the development process.
The project’s final outcome is intended to mark a significant milestone in the digitalization and modernization of the industrial sector.
With IDEx MACHINA, we strengthen our commitment to fostering innovation, competitiveness, and sustainability in industrial companies, supporting the development of more agile, efficient solutions aligned with market needs.
