Responsibilities

  • PCB Validation - perform functional and electrical testing on high volumes of PCBs (with a focus on pending references), using measurement equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope) and diagnostic tools to ensure compliance.
  • Optical Inspection and Defect Detection - carry out detailed board inspection using optical/digital microscopes to identify manufacturing defects.
  • Circuit Diagnosis and Repair - analyse electrical schematics and PCB layouts to identify the root cause of failures and perform manual replacement and repair of damaged components using hot air stations and high-precision soldering irons.
  • Firmware Programming and Verification - perform software/firmware updates on microcontrollers and validate the integrity of recorded data through checksum verification, ensuring that the code has not been corrupted during the process.
  • Non-Conformity Reporting and Continuous Improvement - document and report recurring failure and defect patterns identified in Manufacturing Orders (MOs), supporting the engineering team in optimising the assembly process and reducing material waste.
  • Traceability, Serial Number and Documentation Management - ensure document control and full traceability of each PCB through the rigorous registration of all validation technical documentation and corresponding serial numbers.
