Controlar has achieved the honor of becoming a finalist for the fifth time in the prestigious COTEC-BPI SME Innovation Award, rising above a field of over 200 competing companies.
On November 14th, at the historic Belém Palace, Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa hosted an audience to celebrate the six finalists, emphasizing the significance of this award and the broadening influence of COTEC within the national innovation landscape. President Marcelo praised the innovation capabilities and forward-looking commitment of the finalist companies, across diverse sectors, emphasizing their decisive role in reshaping the business landscape.
The award ceremony took place on November 22nd in Lisbon as part of the 13th SME Innovation Meeting, featuring a distinguished panel dedicated to the “Strategic Triad for Growth: Innovation, Internationalization and Sustainability”. The award was presented to the company Mecalbi by the President of COTEC, António Rios de Amorim, and the Administrator of Banco BPI, Pedro Barreto. The prize presentation was accompanied by a message from the President. Although we did not secure the victory, we extend our congratulations to the well-deserved winner.
Established in 2005, the COTEC-BPI SME Innovation Award annually recognizes SMEs that have made a remarkable mark on the national stage through their innovative approach and activities. Its primary aim is to promote a consistent and enduring culture of business innovation in Portugal.
