El proyecto est\u00e1 liderado por <strong>Controlar<\/strong> y <strong>Graphenest<\/strong>, la \u00fanica productora de grafeno de Portugal, e incluye tambi\u00e9n a <strong>PIEP \u2014 Centro de Innovaci\u00f3n en Ingenier\u00eda de Pol\u00edmeros<\/strong> y la <strong>Universidad de Aveiro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Con una <strong>inversi\u00f3n de 1,86 millones de euros financiada por Portugal 2030<\/strong>, ASTRAL se desarrollar\u00e1 entre junio de 2026 y mayo de 2029. El proyecto est\u00e1 alineado con la estrategia europea de autonom\u00eda tecnol\u00f3gica en un momento en el que el continente busca reducir su dependencia de proveedores externos en sectores cr\u00edticos como la defensa, la movilidad aut\u00f3noma y las telecomunicaciones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">ASTRAL tiene como objetivo <strong>desarrollar un material ultrafino, flexible y multicapa basado en grafeno y part\u00edculas magn\u00e9ticas<\/strong>, capaz de absorber radiaci\u00f3n electromagn\u00e9tica en todo el rango de frecuencias utilizado por la industria moderna \u2014desde radares automotrices hasta comunicaciones 5G y sistemas militares.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">En la pr\u00e1ctica, el material est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para sustituir las voluminosas espumas piramidales que actualmente se utilizan para revestir c\u00e1maras anecoicas por una soluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s delgada capaz de adaptarse a cualquier superficie, con una absorci\u00f3n de banda ancha entre 2 y 110 GHz, una soluci\u00f3n que no existe actualmente en Europa en este formato. El mercado global de estos materiales se valor\u00f3 en 828 millones de d\u00f3lares en 2025 y se espera que alcance los 1.100 millones en 2034. A diferencia de los recubrimientos furtivos tradicionales, que son pesados y r\u00edgidos, este material podr\u00e1 adaptarse a cualquier geometr\u00eda de aeronave sin a\u00f1adir peso ni comprometer el rendimiento. En este contexto, la Fuerza A\u00e9rea Portuguesa tiene previsto participar en las pruebas finales del proyecto, con especial atenci\u00f3n a aplicaciones en veh\u00edculos a\u00e9reos no tripulados con perfil furtivo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div>[vc_column_text]\n<p class=\"p1\">En t\u00e9rminos de protecci\u00f3n de los resultados del proyecto, el consorcio prev\u00e9 <strong>presentar al menos una patente internacional<\/strong>.
